Kendra Chapman – Principal

Principal Kendra Chapman

Mrs. Kendra Chapman is excited to be named the new Principal of Spring Hill Middle School.

Mrs. Chapman’s expertise derives from more than twenty-five years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, school and district leader serving in two states and seven diverse school districts. Most recently she has served as the Middle and High School Coordinator for MCPS.

Principal Chapman holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and an M.S. ED in Special Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She received her credentials in School Administration from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and has her licensure in K-12 Education and School Administration in both Virginia and Tennessee.

Mrs. Chapman resides in Lewisburg, Tennessee, with her husband and triplet sons. When she’s not supporting teachers and families, she enjoys traveling abroad, gardening, sewing, painting, and drinking coffee.

 

Asia Hamilton – Assistant

Welcome to Spring Hill Middle School!

Ms. Hamilton is thrilled to join the SHMS family as Assistant Principal. Her service to the educational field spans over 20 years and includes teaching and instructional coaching experience. She has also been actively involved with a non-profit organization, coordinating after-school and summer programs for at-risk youth.

As a certified Classroom Organization and Management Program (COMP) trainer, Ms. Hamilton brings additional expertise in conflict resolution, instructional coaching, and student discipline. She is committed to fostering a positive and productive learning environment for all students.

Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Ms. Hamilton holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Tennessee State University and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University. Additionally, she has completed advanced coursework in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Lipscomb University.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Hamilton enjoys traveling, Zumba dancing, fashion, and interior design. She resides in Spring Hill, TN, with her family, and is excited to be part of this vibrant community.

Ms. Hamilton looks forward to working with the dedicated staff, supportive families, and wonderful students to continue the tradition of excellence at Spring Hill Middle School.
