Welcome to another great year at Spring Hill Middle School! Whether your child is returning or starting at SHMS for the first time, we are so happy to have your family as part of our school community.
Our goal is to make sure every student feels safe, supported, and challenged to do their very best. Our teachers and staff are committed to creating a positive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe every child has unique strengths, and we work each day to help them build confidence, develop new skills, and reach their full potential.
We know that students are most successful when schools and families work together. Your support, encouragement, and involvement make a big difference, and we encourage you to stay connected throughout the school year. By working together, we can help every student succeed while building a school culture based on respect, responsibility, resilience, and kindness.

Academics at SHMS
Car Riders As we continue working to make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible, please review our car rider procedures.
SHMS car rider line is one lane in the morning and two lanes in the afternoon.
To help reduce traffic on Cleburne Road and keep our car rider process moving safely and efficiently, please pull forward as far as possible when dropping off or picking up your student. This allows us to serve more vehicles at one time and keeps traffic moving.
Afternoon Pickup Safety:
All parents must use the car rider line during afternoon dismissal or complete an early checkout by 2:15 p.m. Parents should not park in the parking lot and ask students to walk to their vehicle during car rider dismissal.
Students walking from the building to vehicles in the parking lot must cross two lanes of moving traffic, creating a serious safety concern. Additionally, staff members are unable to verify that the appropriate person is picking up each student when students are dismissed to the parking lot.
For the safety and security of all students, please use the car rider line or complete an early checkout before 2:15 p.m. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
The athletic season has officially begun at Spring Hill Middle School! We have so many opportunities for our students to get involved, stay active, and be part of something special—from cross country, cherr, band, football, or soccer.
We are especially excited to welcome Mr. Jesse as our new band director! Mr. Jesse is a former SHMS student, and he brings so much enthusiasm, energy, and exciting new ideas to our band program. We are eager to see our band become more involved in school activities and have more opportunities to showcase their incredible talents!
We encourage our families to check out the athletic schedule, come to a game or performance, and show your support for our Generals! Let’s fill the stands and cheer on our students!

PTSA is a wonderful way to support our students and staff, help with school events and activities, and make a positive difference at SHMS. Whether you have a lot of time to volunteer or can simply become a member and support our organization, every contribution makes a difference!
Your involvement helps us create more opportunities and experiences for our Generals and shows our students that their school community believes in them.

We are so blessed to have two well-seasoned and caring school counselors serving our students at Spring Hill Middle School!Mrs. Peters will be serving our 5th and 6th grade students, and we are excited to welcome Ms. Sacra to the SHMS family as she serves our 7th and 8th grade students!
Our school counselors are here to support students and families in a variety of ways, including
behavior supports
504 plans
scheduling requests
counseling services
helping students navigate concerns or challenges.

Spring Hill Middle School is excited about the many opportunities throughout the school year for parents and families to get involved! From chaperoning field trips to assisting in the Generals Store or helping with our annual carnival, parent volunteers play an important role in making these events fun and memorable for our students.
We always welcome additional adult supervision and assistance to help ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
